As an Application Solutions Architect, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, enterprise architecture teams, and engineering squads. Operating within a hybrid work model in Mississauga, you will lead end-to-end software architecture—designing cloud-native Java microservices, applying C4 application modeling frameworks, architecting secure RESTful web services, and establishing robust relational and modern cloud data models. This position is tailored for a technical authority who can guide development teams through technical execution while ensuring alignment with long-term enterprise goals.

Responsibilities
Engage directly with key business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and translate business needs into comprehensive technical architecture designs.
Design and document software architectures using C4 application modeling standards to ensure clear communication across delivery teams.
Architect and oversee the development of resilient, scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices deployed within Kubernetes and cloud environments.
Define secure API design patterns, establishing RESTful web services integrated with OAuth and OAuth2 authentication standards.
Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models across relational and cloud data platforms, including Oracle and Snowflake.
Provide technical leadership, architectural governance, and mentorship to software development teams throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
Evaluate technology trade-offs, system dependencies, non-functional requirements, and integration points to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
Support data integration strategies, including optional ETL pipeline workflows utilizing Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Ensure solution designs adhere to corporate information security, data governance, and regulatory compliance standards.
Qualifications
Core Technical & Architectural Requirements
Application Architecture Tenure: Proven track record of experience serving as an Application or Solution Architect on enterprise software initiatives.
Core Java & Spring Boot: Deep hands-on software engineering background in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
Cloud & Kubernetes Orchestration: Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native applications within Kubernetes environments across major cloud platforms.
C4 Architecture Modeling: Practical experience applying C4 modeling techniques to visualize and document software architecture.
Web Services & Security Protocols: Strong expertise in RESTful API design, integration, and security protocols, including OAuth and OAuth2.
Data Modeling Capabilities: Proven experience in data modeling across Oracle and Snowflake data platforms.
Preferred Experience & Assets
ETL & Data Integration: Knowledge of ETL pipelines and cloud data integration using Azure Data Factory (ADF) is a valuable asset.
