The Details
- Compensation: $23 - 27/hr (depending on apprentice year)
- Worksite Location: Based primarily out of our Northwest Edmonton facility, with potential occasional dispatches to Nisku or surrounding Oil & Gas locations as project demands dictate.
- Working Hours: Standard weekday schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Employment Terms: Temp-to-Perm arrangement. We boast a robust pipeline of long-term projects and are seeking a dedicated team member who is looking to plant roots and grow with us.
- Target Start Date: We’re actively interviewing and looking to onboard the successful candidate within the next 14 days.

Competitive Pay Structure: Hourly wages are calculated against a baseline Journeyman rate of $38.00/hr.
- 2nd-Year Apprentice: $23.00/hr

Responsibilities
Expect to be fully hands-on and actively engaged in day-to-day operations. You will not be standing on the sidelines. Your core daily duties will encompass:
- Wire & Cable Installation: Expertly routing, measuring, and pulling cables through various conduits and cable tray systems.
- Electrical Terminations: Executing clean, precise, and secure terminations to guarantee overall system reliability and safety.
- Journeyman Assistance: Providing comprehensive support to our senior electricians during complex installations, troubleshooting, and routine site upkeep.
- Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery, specifically JLG boom lifts (please note: this requires standard boom lift proficiency, not just scissor lifts).
- Autonomous Work: Demonstrating the ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision once tasks are assigned.
Qualifications
Apprenticeship Status: Must possess a valid, officially registered 2nd or 3rd-year Apprentice Electrician status recognized by AIT (Apprenticeship and Industry Training).
Dependability: A proven track record of excellent attendance, punctuality, and a strong, proactive work ethic every single shift.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated hands-on experience with efficient cable pulling techniques and a comprehensive understanding of proper termination procedures.
Safety Dedication: An unwavering commitment to adhering to strict workplace safety standards and protocols, particularly within high-risk industrial and Oil & Gas environments.
