Responsibilities
The assembler will:
- Use blueprints and assembly plans
- Use power and manual tools to assemble motor components together
- Perform the assembly of motors, gearbox, variable speed drive, etc.
- Examine orders and prioritize assembly projects according to order urgency
- Quality check between work order and parts
- Inventory checks of available parts, including bolts, nuts, washers and shims
- Clean dirt, steel, debris and rust from gears and motors
- Keep a clean work space & clean work area often
- All other tasks assigned to the assembler
Qualifications
- One to two years' experience in an assembly or warehousing position, a plus
- Good interpersonal skills (sometimes client-facing tasks)
- Good multi-tasking skills
- Good attention to detail
- The job requires olfactory or auditory concentration to listen to a device and to detect mechanical faults in a device
- Ability to lift, push, & pull 50lbs
- Must have good coordination when using hand tools, assembly tools and the hoist
