Responsibilities
As an on-the-road specialist, your daily tasks in the skilled trades will involve meeting the automation needs of our clients in the pharmaceutical sector:
Performing diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems on high-tech automated, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
Carrying out basic programming of industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs and HMIs) from Allen-Bradley and Siemens brands.
Actively participating in the installation, wiring, and connection of new equipment, and contributing to the design of control panels.
Providing essential technical support to clients and the existing technical team for everything related to automation.
Diligently writing and submitting intervention and preventive and corrective maintenance reports.
Assiduously applying and respecting health and safety rules during every intervention, whether in the workshop or at the client's site in West Montreal.
Qualifications
We are looking for an expert as an Automation and Control Technician with the following profile:
Hold relevant training such as a DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Electromechanics, a DEC (Diploma of College Studies) in Electrical Engineering, or an AEC (Attestation of College Studies) in Automation.
Possess a minimum of 2 to 3 years of significant experience in a similar role as a technician, with solid knowledge in wiring and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
Have a mandatory proficiency in french and english (bilingualism), which is essential for providing technical support to our clients in the pharmaceutical sector. customers sometimes speak only english. travel to the united states and ontario also requires functional english.
Demonstrate a logical mindset and excellent skills in technical analysis and problem-solving.
Be autonomous, resourceful, and show a great sense of responsibility during on-site interventions in West Montreal.
Possessing a vehicle is a requirement for this electromechanical service position, given the travel to client sites.
