In this role, you will work on specialized vessel and tank builds alongside an established team. Whether you are a newly ticketed Journeyman looking to build your experience or a seasoned pressure welder, this position offers stability, great pay, and steady daytime shifts.
Advantages
Starting wage of $46.00/hour
Day shift schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM during training
Extra hours available post-training (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM optional shift)
Straightforward hiring process—no weld test required for onboarding
No Drug & Alcohol (D&A) or criminal record check required
Shop tools available on-site
Responsibilities
Perform B-Pressure welding using MIG processes on custom truck tanks and pressure vessels
Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and weld symbols
Fit, align, and join steel components according to engineering specs and code requirements
Inspect completed welds to ensure high-quality standards and leak-free structural integrity
Maintain a clean work station and adhere to shop health and safety guidelines
Qualifications
Valid Alberta Journeyman Welder ticket with active B-Pressure certification (ABSA)
Demonstrated experience with MIG welding processes
Experience working with truck tank manufacturers (e.g., Westech, Rebel, Foremost, Jasper Tank, Hams Tank, Wabash) is a strong asset
Open to both newly ticketed and highly experienced B-Pressure Journeymen
Having your own basic hand tools and welding gear is an asset (shop tools available)
Locally available to work on-site in Nisku, AB
