Responsibilities
🔥 Perform high-quality B-Pressure welds on carbon steel and alloy piping systems.
🔥 Execute welds to meet strict ASME and CWB codes as required by project specifications.
🔥 Read and interpret complex blueprints, spool drawings, and isometrics.
🔥 Complete necessary weld mapping and documentation to ensure full traceability.
🔥 Maintain high productivity levels to keep the production cell moving without compromising safety.
🔥 Collaborate with fit-up and QC teams to ensure seamless workflow.
Qualifications
📜 Current Alberta B-Pressure Certification is mandatory.
👨🏭 Proven experience welding pipe in a shop fabrication setting.
⚙️ Proficiency in SMAW and GMAW/MCAW processes; GTAW experience is an asset.
🧪 Ability to pass a pre-employment weld test (typically 6-inch schedule 80 or similar).
🧠 Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
🚗 Must have reliable transportation to Nisku and standard welding PPE.
🛡️ Commitment to a "Safety First" mentality in a busy shop environment.
