Responsibilities
Case & Reimbursement Management: Coordinate and manage all administrative elements required to secure prescription drug coverage for patients; proactively navigate public, private, and federal funding mechanisms.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise directly with insurance companies, physicians' offices, pharmacies, and allied healthcare professionals to expedite reimbursement pathways.
Documentation & Access: Review, prepare, and submit complex paperwork—including Special Authorization (SA) forms—to payors; implement Financial Means Testing as required to lower financial barriers to therapy.
Patient Inquiries & Outbound Communication: Conduct outbound calls and handle inbound inquiries from patients, family members, and medical professionals in accordance with program protocols; manage product care requests and provide high-touch, empathetic support.
Safety & Compliance: Accurately evaluate clinical data to mitigate potential programmatic risks and remain responsible for the timely reporting of all Adverse Events (AEs) to assigned compliance units.
Qualifications
Language Requirement: Fluent professional bilingualism (English/French, oral and written). This role requires bilingualism to serve a national patient base and collaborate with stakeholders outside of Quebec.
Experience: 1+ years of experience in a high-volume call center or customer service setting (patient-facing or healthcare environment is highly preferred).
Industry Knowledge: Prior exposure to the healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical insurance, or casework sector is considered a significant asset.
Skills & Competencies:
Proven case management and multitasking abilities; comfortable managing a dynamic parallel pipeline of patient files.
Exceptional data entry accuracy and rigorous compliance with standard operating protocols.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
Technical Fluency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and comfortable navigating complex, automated CRM or warehouse tracking databases.
Education: Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience in a related discipline.
