This is a renewable 12-month contract (planned until March 2027) starting as soon as possible. The role is 100% remote at 35 hours per week, with the possibility of occasional travel to Quebec City or Montreal upon request. Responsibilities
Collaborate on the delivery and architecture of data management solutions to support various business sectors.
Coordinate the collection and documentation of business requirements regarding analytical data.
Analyze and validate functional needs in close collaboration with product owners and end users.
Design and program integration solutions by applying best practices in data modeling and processing.
Integrate the highest security standards to preserve the confidentiality of digital information.
Automate testing procedures and conduct required evaluations throughout the development cycle to ensure seamless deployments.
Measure and optimize the performance and robustness of delivered solutions.
Implement and leverage continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
Provide ongoing technical support and monitoring for data platforms once in production.
Maintain essential technical documentation to ensure the long-term viability of the systems.
Qualifications
College diploma or university degree in computer science or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an extraction transformation and loading developer and data analyst.
Practical and demonstrated experience of at least 3 years working with Azure Data Factory.
Mastery of modern data management technologies such as Snowflake and Power BI.
Deep understanding of business intelligence architectures including data lakes and data warehouses.
Proficiency with continuous integration concepts, containerization, and virtualization using tools like Azure DevOps.
Proven ability to work within agile methodologies and collaborative development frameworks.
Excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
Essential bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.
Knowledge of the insurance or financial services industry is considered an asset.
