Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end long-term translation projects, by working with the coordinator, internal partners and external suppliers.
Serve as the language expert for your colleagues, internal partners and suppliers.
Coach, train and guide less experienced team members in translation and customer service issues and challenges.
Fill in for the Associate Manager, as required.
Demonstrate strong file analysis skills and decisiveness.
Ensure the tone and style of translated documents follow the brand guidelines.
Conduct terminological research to produce high-quality translations, and add to the terminological database by creating records.
Work with internal partners and other members of the Translation Services to produce quality turnkey translations.
Meet or exceed service level agreements.
Be able to work under pressure, and manage emergencies and priorities.
Qualifications
B.A. with specialization in English-to-French translation or equivalent training.
At least 10 years of experience in translation and five years of experience in revision in a structured work environment, specializing in banking.
Translation: 270+ words per hour.
Internal or external revision: 1,000 words per hour.
Experience with translation tools (ideally MemoQ or Flowfit).
Full proficiency in English and French language nuances in corporate communications, insurance and technology.
