Responsibilities
API Requirements & Data Architecture
API Specification & Contracts: Define comprehensive API requirements, integration specifications, endpoints, and contracts following modern RESTful design standards and versioning conventions.
Data Mapping & Flow Design: Document end-to-end data flows and write detailed source-to-target data transformation mappings.
Business Logic Translation: Analyze complex business pricing rules, segmentation models, and analytics-driven use cases, translating them into precise technical specifications and system rules.
Agile Documentation & Testing Governance
User Story & Spec Authoring: Write detailed functional specifications, technical user stories, data schemas, and precise acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
Agile Execution & Delivery: Collaborate daily with software engineers and data teams to clarify requirements, clear technical blockers, and refine backlogs.
UAT & Production Rollout: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release planning, defect triage, and post-implementation validation during production deployment.
Qualifications
Professional Experience: 10+ years of dedicated experience operating as a Senior Technical Business Analyst within complex system integration or API-centric programs.
API & Integration Depth: Proven experience defining REST API requirements, API contracts, data flows, and system integration specs.
Data Mapping Expertise: Strong, hands-on background creating source-to-target data mappings, transformation rules, and data dictionaries.
Technical Specification Mastery: Demonstrated ability to write production-ready functional specs, granular user stories, and clear acceptance criteria.
Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal technical communication skills; outstanding analytical problem-solving abilities; strong stakeholder management across business and engineering disciplines.
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Technical background within Banking, Mortgages, or Financial Pricing/Rate Systems.
Familiarity with analytics-driven use cases, segmentation models, or direct collaboration with data science teams.
Hands-on knowledge of modern API design standards (REST conventions, payload structures, HTTP status codes, versioning).
Demonstrated experience guiding UAT execution and production launch validation.
