In this role, you will support the entire lifecycle of mortgage products—from origination and underwriting through to funding.
...
The team is currently undergoing an exciting strategic shift, moving toward a product-based model and adopting Agile/Scrum methodologies. If you are a analytical thinker with a deep understanding of the mortgage landscape, this is an incredible opportunity to make a tangible impact.
Advantages
Contract-to-Perm Potential: This is a 6-month contract with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent role.
Skill Development: The hiring manager highly values business domain knowledge over deep technical skills; they are fully prepared to train and upskill you on their SAP systems.
Prime Location: Work out of a beautiful office space at 145 King West in a balanced Hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements and clear acceptance criteria.
Technical Translation: Translate complex business needs into clear technical language for developers and integration teams.
Solutioning: Perform light technical solutioning for straightforward business requirements.
Production Support: Provide Level 1 and Level 2 Incident Support, facilitating data corrections and system updates as needed.
Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies as the team transitions to a product-based delivery model.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
Deep Domain Expertise: A comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of the mortgage and/or deposits lifecycle (specifically origination, underwriting, and funding).
Analytical Mindset: A proven track record of logical thinking, data-driven problem-solving, and Business Intelligence principles.
Work Structure: Ability to commit to a standard 40-hour work week and a 3-day in-office hybrid schedule in downtown Toronto.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
SAP Knowledge: Prior exposure to SAP ecosystems (specifically SAP Banking, FS-CD, or FS-CML) is a significant asset but not required.
Agile Experience: Experience working within an Agile/Scrum framework is highly preferred.
Summary
This is a premier opportunity for a Mortgage Domain Expert with strong analytical capabilities to step into a pivotal contract-to-hire role. You don't need to be an SAP guru to apply—if you know the business of mortgages and deposits, our client is ready to invest in your technical growth.
