We are currently seeking a high-caliber Senior Business Analyst to join our client, one of Canada’s leading financial institutions, at their Downtown location. This is a pivotal role within one of the bank’s most significant initiatives—a large-scale migration project moving from one primary book of record to another.
...
If you are a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a deep understanding of investment products, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will act as a bridge between business partners and technical teams to ensure a seamless transition during a major enterprise migration. You will be responsible for deconstructing complex "current state" processes and defining the "future state" requirements necessary to support critical conversion activities. This is a hybrid position, requiring 4 days per week onsite in downtown Toronto.
Advantages
High-Visibility Impact: Work on one of the bank's largest and most strategic migration projects.
Professional Growth: Gain deep exposure to large-scale data migration and "book of record" transitions within a Tier-1 banking environment.
Prime Location: Work from a flagship office at 160 Front Street West, right in the heart of the financial district.
Collaborative Environment: Engage with diverse stakeholders across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
Requirement Elicitation: Facilitate meetings with partners to understand current state workflows and document comprehensive requirements for the future state.
Meeting Leadership: Host and lead calls/workshops to extract necessary information to support ongoing conversion activities.
Process Engineering: Create detailed process maps and propose proactive recommendations and solutions for migration challenges.
Stakeholder Management: Deliver crisp, concise, and articulate messaging to various stakeholders, ensuring project alignment.
Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation standards for all project requirements and process changes.
Qualifications
Education: University Degree is required.
Experience: Approximately 10 years of professional experience is ideal; however, we are open to candidates with fewer years if they possess the specific technical skill set required.
Technical Proficiencies: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Process Mapping tools.
Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with investments (Mutual Funds, Registered Products), CIRO regulations, and Fundserve.
Preferred Background: Previous experience within a major Canadian bank (specifically TD) is highly desirable.
Certifications: A Mutual Fund license is considered a significant asset but is not mandatory.
Summary
Our client is looking for a "self-starter" who can hit the ground running and work with a high degree of independence. The successful candidate will be coachable, taking feedback as a tool for growth, and will maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving. If you are an articulate communicator with a strong background in investment banking operations and large-scale migrations, this is an exceptional opportunity to advance your career.
