Responsibilities
End-to-End Requirements Management: Lead requirements activities across the full project lifecycle (planning, analysis, design, and testing). Elicit, document, and maintain business and functional requirements with strict traceability.
Process & Data Modeling: Analyze current-state ecosystems to identify inefficiencies and gaps. Map out future-state workflows, process diagrams, data models, and detailed use cases.
Financial & Options Analysis: Perform cost-benefit analyses, financial modeling, trending, forecasting, and feasibility studies to support robust business cases and procurement initiatives (RFx preparation).
Database & Data Analysis: Leverage a strong technical understanding of data structures, sources, and relationships to query database systems and extract meaningful business insights for executive decision-making.
Testing & Quality Assurance Support: Define and prepare critical test artifacts, build detailed test scenarios and realistic test data, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) along with verification tracking.
Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation: Plan, organize, and facilitate workshops and cross-functional meetings tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences, driving groups toward documented consensus and actionable decisions.
Scope Governance: Maintain comprehensive requirements governance artifacts, including decision matrices, issue tracking files, and formal change logs to control project scope as analysis evolves.
Qualifications
Core Experience: 5+ years of progressive business analysis experience operating within large enterprise landscapes or complex multi-stakeholder corporate structures.
Technical Analysis Methodologies: Demonstrated expertise in structured IT analysis methodologies, including business process flow definitions, data flow diagramming (DFDs), and conceptual data modeling.
Database Technologies: Hands-on experience working with, navigating, or writing data queries in Oracle, SQL Server, or SAP database systems.
Financial & Analytical Acumen: Strong capability to execute quantitative research, tracking metrics like operational trending, financial forecasts, and benefit realizations.
Software & Tooling: Advanced proficiency utilizing the full Microsoft Office desktop product suite (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint).
Communication & Collaboration: Elite written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to manage client relationships and collaborate across all levels of organizational staff.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience).
Asset: Prior experience working within the public sector or a municipal environment is highly desirable.
