This role sits within a sophisticated Capital Markets Operations ecosystem, supporting a strategic platform that serves as the central repository for client reference and static data (legal entities, account information, product holdings, and settlement instructions). This is a hybrid Data Governance / Data Analytics role within a small, highly collaborative team of four. You will balance day-to-day operational data management with high-impact project work focused on data remediation, automation, and platform enhancements.

Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Remediation: Lead complex data remediation and quality activities across large structured and unstructured datasets to ensure corporate client reference data is complete, accurate, and consistent.
Scripting & Automation: Build, enhance, and maintain Python and SQL scripts/frameworks used for data health checks, validation, reporting, and bulk data updates.
Data Governance: Drive Data Quality (DQ) control frameworks, proactively identifying data risks and implementing sustainable solutions to mitigate operational and regulatory impacts.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Operations, Technology, and Chief Data Office (CDO) teams to translate business requirements into actionable data logic and rules.
SME Guidance: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Party & Account data domains, assisting downstream data consumers and resolving complex data issues.
Agile Project Delivery: Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrums) and contribute to the ongoing rollout of a strategic enterprise master data platform.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
Experience: 5 to 7+ years of professional experience in data analytics, data governance, or master data management.
Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, automation scripting, and querying large enterprise databases.
Data Remediation: Proven track record of working with large-scale datasets, identifying data quality trends, and executing bulk remediation.
Education: Undergraduate degree (a focus on Data Analytics, Computer Science, or Finance is preferred).
Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to both technical developers and non-technical business consumers.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience:
Financial Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in Banking or Capital Markets, specifically understanding FX products or client reference/static data.
Advanced Tools: Experience with Databricks, Dremio, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
Industry Standards: Familiarity with corporate structures and reference data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, GLEIF).
Project Delivery: Experience working within an Agile/Scrum framework or holding project coordination experience.
