A renowned Quebec company in the electronic components sector is recruiting a Buyer for its Operations team. This role is essential for managing the complete procurement cycle for specialized raw materials and ensuring the economic efficiency of their sophisticated production.

Responsibilities
Analyze MRP (Material Requirements Planning) needs and process purchase requisitions.
Issue purchase orders in a timely and cost-effective manner, conducting rigorous price analyses.
Ensure rigorous follow-up on open purchase orders (raw products, tooling, chemicals, MRO office supplies).
Proactively communicate potential issues or interruptions to management.
Identify and evaluate new suppliers, particularly for certain specialized products (strategic sourcing).
Lead price and condition negotiations with suppliers once comfortable in the role.
Liaise between suppliers, subcontractors, and relevant internal departments (Operations, Engineering, Planning).
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar Buyer or Procurement role.
Technical Understanding: Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly machining (metal, industrial).
Language Skills: Proficiency in English (communication with international suppliers). Bilingualism (French/English) is a major asset.
Aptitude for Growth: A demonstrated desire to learn and progress ("self-grower" profile) is valued.
Operational Requirements: Ability to work full-time in the office (no hybrid or remote work option offered).
