Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator, your expertise will be utilized in the following key tasks:
Analyze plans and specifications for commercial tenant improvement projects.
Perform quantity take-offs (metering).
Evaluate and negotiate bids from specialized subcontractors (interior finishing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and profit margins.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers to understand specific tenant needs.
Identify potential risks.
Propose value engineering solutions to optimize project budgets.
Maintain and develop a reliable database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Participate in project start-up and follow-up meetings.
Qualifications
THE PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience: 5+ years in construction estimation.
Specialization: Demonstrated focus on retail tenant improvement projects.
Technical Skills: Excellent ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel.
Qualities: Sharp attention to detail, rigor, and high level of autonomy.
