Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities
In your duties as a project manager and estimator, your tasks will be divided between precision analysis and operational support:
Perform detailed quantity take-offs according to company standards.
Analyze and compare subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
Prepare comprehensive cost summaries (materials, labor, taxes, and margins).
Interpret technical plans and specifications to identify any potential constraints.
Collaborate with design teams and engineers to refine estimates.
Maintain communication with site supervisors to ensure budgets and deadlines are met.
Manage change orders and track billing throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee the administrative closing of projects and approvals with local authorities.
Qualifications
To shine as a project manager and estimator, you ideally meet the following criteria:
Possess between 3 and 7 years of experience in estimation within the commercial or retail sector.
Have additional experience in project management (a preferred asset).
Perfect mastery of Office Suite tools, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, MS Project, or equivalent).
Demonstrate an exceptional ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Have a highly developed sense of detail and strong analytical rigor.
Capable of working effectively both independently and in synergy with a multidisciplinary team.
