Responsibilities
Assess current Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions to identify technical gaps, mitigate risks, and streamline operational workflows.
Author, revise, and communicate IAM governance documentation, including security policies, guidelines, standards, and technical advisories.
Guide and advise business units on integrating IAM controls and maintaining compliance within their day-to-day operations.
Formulate strategic recommendations to enhance identity security controls against evolving cyber threats.
Design and implement identity management mechanisms, including automated lifecycle management (provisioning/deprovisioning), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and access request processes.
Oversee the investigation and remediation of access-related security incidents.
Collaborate closely with enterprise architecture, governance, and broader cybersecurity teams.
Implement and refine automated processes for conducting regular access reviews and certifications across core IT systems.
Drive operational IAM activities, encompassing deployment planning, process execution, monitoring, and continuous service improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of overall experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years dedicated to Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Deep technical knowledge of identity governance concepts, access administration, and security architecture principles.
Demonstrated experience planning and deploying Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and access auditing/traceability solutions.
Hands-on technical experience with identity federation, RBAC, automated provisioning, Kerberos, LDAP, and related protocols.
High proficiency with the Microsoft ecosystem, specifically Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
Strong risk-based mindset applied to identity protection and system architecture.
Proven track record in executing end-to-end IAM program implementations from requirement gather through deployment.
Active professional security credential (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or equivalent).
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
