Responsibilities
On-Floor Troubleshooting: Spend the majority of your time on the floor working with operators and supervisors to identify mechanical and process bottlenecks.
Waste Mitigation: Collect and analyze data regarding milk rework and dump occurrences to identify patterns and trends.
Root Cause Analysis: Use tools such as Pareto charts and 5-Whys to diagnose issues and develop corrective/preventive actions.
Standardization: Document current workflows and assist in creating standardized procedures and visual controls to maintain gains.
Reporting & Tracking: Create and maintain dashboards to monitor KPIs and report progress on CI initiatives to the Production Director.
Cross-Functional Support: Facilitate meetings between production, quality, and maintenance to validate and implement technical solutions.
Qualifications
Education: Post-secondary education in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Technical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Data Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools; ability to turn raw data into actionable insights.
Problem-Solving: A proven ability to identify root causes and propose sustainable, cost-effective solutions.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with floor staff and management alike.
