Our client in Lachine is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Controller to act as a strategic and operational partner to the executive team. In this pivotal role, you will drive profitability, strengthen financial structures, and enhance manufacturing efficiency by overseeing daily accounting, developing robust financial management tools, optimizing costing models and purchasing processes, and providing key insights to guide strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
• Supervision & Compliance: Overseeing internal accounting (full cycle, payroll, taxes) and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Month-End & Audits: Participating in month-end closures, preparing financial statements, and managing relationships with external auditors.
• Treasury & Budgeting: Monitoring cash flow, budget planning, financial forecasting, and providing strategic support to the CEO.
Costing, Purchasing & Inventory
• Cost Accounting: Modeling cost structures and analyzing profitability by product and project.
• Procurement & Inventory: Optimizing purchasing, leading vendor negotiations, reducing inventory discrepancies, and supporting pricing decisions.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
• Reporting & Analytics: Designing dashboards, management reports, and financial/manufacturing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Optimization: Automating processes, simplifying management tools, and implementing SME manufacturing best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in accounting
- 10 years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company
- ERP experience
- Fluency in professional French and an intermediate level of English, as the role requires to communicate with English speaking clients and suppliers outside Quebec on a daily basis.
