Salary: Commensurate with experience
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday
Duration: 10-month contract (with a strong possibility of extension)
Location: 100% Remote
Advantages
Why Join Us?
Strategic Impact: You aren't just writing; you are shaping the narrative for C-Suite executives and industry leaders.
Creative Autonomy: Take the lead on developing story arcs and narrative threads for major industry events.
Work from Anywhere: Enjoy the flexibility of a 100% remote role while supporting a national leader in the financial sector.
High-Level Exposure: Your work will reach an elite audience of employers, brokers, and consulting firms.
Professional Growth: Deepen your expertise in the financial and insurance sectors with a brand that values innovation and "precursor" thinking.
Responsibilities
This is a high-impact role where you will synthesize complex market data into powerful "people-first" stories.
Content Creation: Draft high-stakes speeches, panel scripts, and "fireside chat" talking points for executive leaders.
Narrative Strategy: Develop the "red thread" (fil conducteur) for events to ensure a cohesive and engaging audience experience.
Research & Synthesis: Read, understand, and simplify complex market studies, marketing plans, and briefs into clear, concise takeaways.
Multi-Channel Writing: Produce white papers, blog posts, industry presentations, and promotional summaries based on sponsored research and studies.
Brand Alignment: Ensure all content perfectly reflects the organization’s tone, image, and sophisticated brand voice.
Qualifications
What You Need to Succeed:
Storytelling Expert: You have a proven track record of writing content that "hooks" an audience, specifically for live events or executive speaking engagements.
Financial Sector Knowledge: You possess an excellent understanding of Group Insurance and/or Group Retirement Savings.
Language Mastery: You are a French-first writer with excellent skills in the language, plus a strong professional understanding of English (to handle bilingual briefs and research).
Strategic Mindset: You don't just "write"—you think. You have the ability to propose creative angles and new ways to tell an old story.
Project Management Skills: You are reactive, highly autonomous, and capable of managing multiple high-priority mandates simultaneously.
Analytical Ability: You can take a 50-page market study and turn it into a 5-minute punchy presentation without losing the core message.
Summary
This is more than just a writing job—it’s an opportunity to be the "architect of influence" for a leader in the Canadian financial landscape. If you are a proactive creative who thrives on turning data into inspiration, we want to meet you.
