At the heart of a tight-knit, human-sized team, you will be the primary point of contact for a loyal clientele of contractors and individuals. This role skillfully combines advisory service, the use of internal technology, and active participation in operational logistics. Contract: Permanent
Work Mode: 100% on-site
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday (+ 1 Saturday/month)
Salary: $20-$21/hr
Advantages
Stable day schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (40-hour week).
Increased overtime pay during the mandatory rotation of one Saturday out of four.
Attractive monthly performance bonuses based on local margin targets (approx. $250 / month).
Additional monthly bonuses linked to the growth of the digital transactional platform (approx. $200 / month).
Global annual bonus tied to branch profitability, up to 10% of your gross salary.
Structured training program upon hiring (internal system and forklift certification paid by the employer).
Real advancement opportunities toward internal sales or external on-the-road sales representative roles.
Responsibilities
Enthusiastically welcome customers, accurately identify their technical needs, and close sales at the counter.
Accurately enter and process customer orders within the company's management software.
Handle routine material handling, including receiving boxes, optimal shelf placement, and shelf facing.
Prepare physical orders and follow up on customer phone inquiries (approx. 5% of the time).
Actively participate in monthly inventory counting and validation operations.
Safely operate the branch's lifting equipment (forklift training provided internally).
Qualifications
Experience: Prior work experience in retail or the construction industry is a major asset.
Computer Skills: Great comfort level with computer systems for quick and smooth software onboarding.
Language Skills: Imperative mastery of spoken and written French, accompanied by functional English to serve clients located outside of Quebec.
