Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly demand planning cycle, ensuring timely and accurate forecasts aligned with business goals.
- Facilitate demand consensus meetings as part of the S&OP process, clarifying assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to align on business needs.
- Analyze historical data, market trends, pricing, and new product launches to enhance forecast accuracy.
- Monitor forecast accuracy (DFA, bias) and lead improvement initiatives.
- Integrate qualitative business insights into statistical forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with forecasting standards, tools, and best practices.
- Coach and develop junior planners to grow their analytical and business skills.
- Partner with IT and analytics teams to continuously improve forecasting tools, automation, and data integrity.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in Excel and forecasting tools (SAP, APO).
- Familiarity with Kinaxis is a strong asset.
- Skilled in stakeholder alignment, negotiation, and senior communication.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and complexity management.
- Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring, and team development.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required due to regular communication with internal and external stakeholders across Canada and internationally.
Experience:
- 5–10 years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics in FMCG or retail.
- Experience managing multi-category portfolios and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with S&OP/IBP processes and governance.
- Experience with Canadian retail and distribution networks is an asset.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
- Training in data science or statistical forecasting is a plus.
