Are You Ready to Build the "Golden Path" for Enterprise Cloud Security and Delivery?
Do you bring several years of hands-on DevSecOps engineering experience, acting as the bridge between application delivery, security, and cloud infrastructure?
...
Have you spent time architecting enterprise CI/CD pipelines, authoring production-grade Terraform modules, and integrating Application Security controls into developer workflows?
Looking for a 100% remote, 12-month consulting mandate helping a major Canadian enterprise modernize its secure software delivery?
Our team is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer to join a specialized platform-and-adoption squad. In this highly impactful role, you will build the underlying self-service capabilities, automation templates, and "golden paths" that allow multiple application delivery teams to ship code rapidly, efficiently, and securely.
You will focus heavily on reducing developer friction while simultaneously hardening the software supply chain—integrating security scanning, policy-as-code, vulnerability remediation, and AI-assisted workflows directly into the CI/CD ecosystem.
Advantages
100% Remote Flexibility
High-Impact Platform Influence: You aren't just maintaining one app—you are building the secure foundation used by every delivery squad in the enterprise.
Modern Tooling Environment: Work with the latest in Terraform, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, AI workflows, and advanced AppSec tooling.
Responsibilities
- Build developer self-service templates and standardized CI/CD workflows for Java, Python, .NET, and serverless architectures (e.g., Azure Functions).
- Embed automated security controls, vulnerability scanning, and policy-as-code (via tools like Mend, Snyk, Defender) directly into build/release pipelines.
- Design, author, and maintain reusable, production-grade Terraform modules and automate their deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement processes to significantly reduce the time required to identify, prioritize, and remediate software vulnerabilities across multiple development squads.
- Guide the governed adoption of AI-enabled software development capabilities within the DevSecOps ecosystem.
- Implement and govern secure package management solutions to protect the enterprise software supply chain.
Qualifications
- DevSecOps Engineering Depth: years of hands-on experience working as a DevSecOps Engineer (or equivalent platform engineering role) supporting multiple concurrent application delivery teams.
- Enterprise CI/CD Pipelines: years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise and/or Azure DevOps.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform): years of hands-on experience designing and authoring production-grade Terraform, including building reusable modules for automated deployment.
- Application Security (AppSec): years of hands-on DevSecOps / AppSec experience integrating security controls (vulnerability scanning, secrets management, policy enforcement, software supply chain security) into software development pipelines.
- Security & Location: Located in Canada and eligible to obtain Reliability Status clearance.
Rated Assets (Highly Desired):
- Proven experience creating standardized DevSecOps templates (e.g., scaffolding for new microservices).
- Hands-on implementation of automated exception processes and policy-as-code.
- Experience securely implementing AI-assisted coding tools within a governed enterprise environment.
