In this mission-critical consulting role, you will define test environments, establish comprehensive quality assurance strategies, and lead end-to-end testing cycles across complex enterprise systems. Working closely with application engineering squads, technical architects, and project managers, you will drive robust database testing, ETL data-pipeline validations, and test automation. While standard API automation plays a supporting role, your core focus will be validating complex source-to-target data flows, investigating data discrepancies across modern cloud data warehouses, maintaining test automation frameworks, and ensuring production readiness across distributed applications.
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Full-time engagement)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Primarily remote with on-site presence once per month or as project requirements dictate)

Responsibilities
Database & Data-Pipeline Testing: Execute rigorous, hands-on database testing across multi-database environments; validate end-to-end ETL data pipelines from source to target and investigate complex data discrepancies.
Test Automation & Framework Execution: Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts utilizing BDD/Cucumber methodologies alongside JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
Test Strategy & Governance: Formulate, review, and approve master test plans, test cases, execution schedules, and test beds before deployment; sign off on test results prior to production release.
Regression & Defect Lifecycle Management: Maintain and expand comprehensive automated regression suites to ensure new features and updates do not compromise existing functionality; track and prioritize defects through resolution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner actively with technical design teams, developers, and project managers to understand architectural design approaches, optimize system performance, and troubleshoot root causes.
QA Metrics & Standards Reporting: Define, track, and report on quality assurance metrics, inspection standards, and testing progress to project leadership and release teams.
Mentorship & Quality Culture: Train and guide junior QA team members, driving continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
Quality Assurance Depth: 3 to 5+ years of dedicated professional experience in software quality assurance, test design, and automated test execution.
Database Testing Focus: Strong, hands-on database testing proficiency with advanced SQL querying skills across complex, multi-database architectures.
ETL & Pipeline Validation: Practical experience with ETL testing, data warehousing concepts, and end-to-end data pipeline validation.
Test Automation Fundamentals: Solid experience implementing automated test suites, with hands-on exposure to BDD/Cucumber and scripting in JavaScript or TypeScript (exposure to frameworks such as WebdriverIO or Selenium).
Cloud & Data Technologies: Familiarity with modern data platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau.
Agile Delivery: Proven experience collaborating within fast-paced Agile/Scrum engineering environments.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience.
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Hands-on experience or familiarity with StarRocks or distributed analytical databases.
Prior exposure to performance/load testing tools and methodologies.
Familiarity with microservices architecture or enterprise commerce backends (e.g., SAP Commerce / Hybris).
Professional certifications such as ISTQB (Foundation/Advanced) or recognized Agile credentials (e.g., CSM, PSPO).
