Responsibilities
- Oversee company operations
- Take a proactive, hands-on approach and maintain a daily presence to resolve operational issues
- Maintain high standards of hospitality, customer service, and supplier experience
- Oversee the day-to-day management of sites: cleanliness, safety, smooth service delivery, reception
- Lead internal operations, leasing, and communications teams
- Supervise service providers and outsourcing contracts related to building and site operations (real estate, maintenance, security, etc.)
- Manage rental contracts and leases, including negotiations and compliance
- Manage and operate the company's real estate properties
- Optimize space utilization, asset profitability, and infrastructure quality
- Develop strategies to enhance and diversify real estate revenues
- Lead real estate projects: rehabilitation, acquisition, enhancement
- Ensure regulatory compliance and manage building-related risks
- Collaborate with the City of Montreal, its boroughs, and other public and private partners
- Maintain relations with members of the Corporation
- Oversee internal and external communications
- Participate in the preparation of annual reports, financial statements, and balance sheets
- Participate in the development of the annual budget and strategic plan
- Adhere to the organization's budget and oversee the budgets of the teams and contracts under your supervision
- Contribute to the achievement of the strategic plan's objectives
- Participate in the search for public and private funding
- Oversee the development of business processes
- Introduce best practices for work organization
- Ensure the success of day-to-day activities and specific projects
Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field such as: management, business administration (MBA), engineering, real estate, hospitality, public administration, or other relevant training (training is considered an asset, but field experience, the ability to manage complex operations, and leadership potential will be the determining factors)
- Minimum of 5 years in an operational or real estate management role, ideally in a multi-site or institutional context
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Field management, customer service, and hospitality
- Real estate operations, asset valuation, and revenue diversification
- Contract management (leases, subcontracts)
- Commercial relations with a variety of profiles
- Public/private partnerships
- Motivational leadership, strong political sense, and entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent team management and interdepartmental coordination skills
- Mastery of customer service and hospitality issues
- Negotiation, risk management, and regulatory compliance skills
- Ability to work in a complex, high-visibility environment
- Strategic vision and ability to translate strategic plan objectives into concrete actions in the field
