What you will do
Lead the SAP Platform Engineering function, including BASIS, HANA,
cloud infrastructure, and platform reliability
Define and execute the platform engineering roadmap aligned to
S/4HANA, cloud, and modernization priorities
Establish and enforce engineering standards, automation (CI/CD), and
operational excellence practices
Oversee platform performance, availability, and resilience, including
capacity and lifecycle management
Provide leadership over vendor managed services and multi geo teams
Partner with application, architecture, and security teams to ensure
alignment across the SAP ecosystem
Drive continuous improvement and reduction of manual operations
through automation
Qualifications
What you will bring
5+ years’ experience as a technology leader and with either a business
unit or a technology role
5+ years hands-on experience as a BASIS lead or platform engineer,
including S/4HANA and cloud environments
Strong understanding of SAP on cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
Proven leadership experience building and leading engineering-focused
teams
Experience with automation, DevOps practices, and platform
standardization
Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
Senior technical leadership experience in complex, regulated
environments.
Strong grounding in operational risk management, delivery governance,
and modern engineering practices.
Demonstrated ability to influence across teams without relying on formal
authority.
A pragmatic, values driven leadership style with a strong sense of
ownership.
Reliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with
candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal
security status that is required as a condition of employment before an
employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites
as outlined by the Government of Canada website. The cost of
