Responsibilities
- Request, obtain, and manage all necessary oversize/overweight (OSOW) permits, route surveys, and related special authorizations (e.g., bridge clearances, construction notices) from state, provincial, and local agencies.
- Organize and distribute accurate, timely permit and routing packages to drivers and dispatchers.
- Coordinate and schedule third-party pilot cars, flaggers, and police escorts as required by specific permits and state regulations.
- Monitor and audit Hours of Service records and Electronic Logging Devices data to ensure compliance and proactively address potential violations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of dedicated experience in transportation compliance, permitting, or safety, with direct exposure to Heavy-Haul or Specialized Freight operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of or certification in relevant safety standards
- Bilingual French and English
