Responsibilities
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Provide support to the team during tendering phase of all projects. Assemble accurate, timely and well-organized estimates and new project set-up documents, including bids, construction management, design builds, cost estimates and control budgets.
- Utilize your technical abilities to analyze drawings and specifications. Coordinate tender process and maintain a good relationship with clients, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, end users and suppliers. Create and issue quotes/proposal submission documents.
- Review bid requirements for projects, prepare and attend site walkthroughs and project site meetings, review and confirm geotechnical conditions, draft risk matrix and
- Prepare take-offs. Assist in creating preliminary budgets for all successful tender projects and change order pricing.
- Assist with the overall management of major rehabilitation projects from pre-construction phase until completion.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience estimating pipe services rehabilitation projects with a variety of project delivery methodologies.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Heavy Bid (HCSS)
- Experience with water or sewer rehabilitation, slip lining, CIPP and SIPP
- Experience and highly skilled in negotiating pricing while maintaining strong integrity and relationship with suppliers and vendors.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Must possess a valid driver's license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Canada is preferred.
- Competent with Microsoft Office Suite
