We are actively recruiting highly skilled, safety-driven Field Ironworkers—both certified Journeypersons and seasoned Apprentices—for a major structural steel erection project kicking off this August. Your primary duties will revolve around assembling, maneuvering, aligning, and fastening heavy structural steel elements in a dynamic outdoor environment. If you excel at deciphering complex blueprints, have extensive experience with high-elevation structural work, and pride yourself on top-tier field craftsmanship, this is the perfect project for you.

Responsibilities
Blueprint Mastery: Analyze and decode complex shop drawings, structural blueprints, and technical specifications to orchestrate precise field layouts and intricate connections.
Crane Coordination: Effectively direct crane operators using standard hand signals or radios to hoist, maneuver, and land massive steel columns, joists, trusses, and beams with zero incidents.
Structural Assembly: Expertly bolt, connect, align, and execute tack-welding on structural steel components to flawlessly match the engineer's site plans.
On-the-Fly Adjustments: Execute necessary field modifications utilizing grinders, thermal cutting torches, and other tools to ensure a perfect fit on the job site.
High-Elevation Operations: Safely construct and operate from temporary scaffolding systems and Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), maintaining strict 100% tie-off compliance.
Procedural Compliance: Rigorously follow site-specific safety protocols, stringent quality control measures, and demanding project deadlines without cutting corners.
Qualifications
Professional Background: A minimum of three years of hands-on field experience specifically working as a Steel Erector or Structural Ironworker (we highly prefer candidates with a valid Journeyperson certificate or those registered as advanced apprentices).
Technical Proficiency: Exceptional ability to interpret detailed structural schematics, execute complex rigging techniques, and perform flawless field connections. Holding active CWB welding tickets (SMAW/FCAW) will give you a massive advantage.
Mandatory Safety Tickets:
- Current Fall Protection / Working at Heights certification.
- Valid Aerial Work Platform (AWP) / Boom Lift ticket.
- A valid driver's license paired with a highly reliable personal vehicle.
Physical Stamina: You must be completely comfortable working at extreme elevations, capable of repeatedly lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs, and prepared to brave unpredictable autumn weather conditions outdoors.
Schedule Commitment: You absolutely must be available to work the entire length of this project, commencing in mid-August without interruption.
