Responsibilities
The financial controller will have the following responsibilities, among others:
- Supervise and coordinate the end of month and end of year process;
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements;
- Present financial results to management, noting significant variations from one period to another;
- Supervise a small accounting team;
- Prepare the overall annual budget and ensure close monitoring;
- Participate in the preparation of budgets for upcoming projects and monitor these projects;
- Automate existing financial processes using technological tools;
- All other related tasks.
Qualifications
We are looking for the following qualifications for this financial controller position:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting;
- CPA title or equivalent, a strong asset;
-7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role;
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French;
- Experience in staff supervision.
- Excellent command of Excel and knowledge of VBA, a strong asset.
