Responsibilities
Supervise the annual payroll cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly and monthly payrolls, and manage year-end payroll tax remittance and filings.
Ensure all payroll taxes and mandatory deductions are accurately calculated, reported, and remitted to government authorities, and act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for government-related inquiries.
Conduct bi-annual budget reviews, validate payroll for new expatriates, calculate recharges bi-annually, and manage the execution of outsourced tax services.
Administer pension plans (defined contribution, defined benefit, and retiree pension & benefits), oversee pension remittance validation, and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SoX) regulations.
Manage the execution of outsourced services, focusing on service level agreements (SLAs), cost management, and maintaining strong relationships with account managers.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Proven experience in payroll processing and management, with strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
Proficiency in finance tools and systems, specifically SAP / BI / BPC, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle large volumes of information accurately.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and external parties.
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Bilingualism (French and English) is required due to regular communication with internal and external stakeholders across Canada and internationally.
