Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
●Responsible of full-cycle general accounting, including preparing accounting entries for multiple business lines.
●Record and reconcile transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
●Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing vendor invoices and customer payments.
●Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
●Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
●Assist in month-end closing tasks.
●Review junior associate's work and provide coaching through sharing of experiences and best practices.
●Take lead in the annual audit to ensure completion in a timely manner and with minimal adjustments.
●Participate in process improvements to streamline the monthly financial close process.
●Solid knowledge of tax reporting requirements and respond with tax bureaus.
●Assist in the development and implementation of new internal control policies and procedures.
●Work collaboratively with other departments, such as operations and compliance, to ensure the financial health of the company.
●Assist with ad-hoc projects across the Finance team.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
● 2-3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
● Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
● Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
● Fluency in Mandarin could be an asset.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
● Strong problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy through performing self-reviews.
● Thorough understanding of Canadian accounting principles and regulations.
● CPA designation or working towards certification is preferred.
