Responsibilities
Technical Design: Contribute to the architectural analysis and documentation for web-based application development and integration.
Cloud & API Development: Build, optimize, and maintain cloud-native solutions while developing robust APIs to ensure seamless system connectivity.
Full Lifecycle Coding: Take ownership of hands-on programming, unit testing, and functional integration, ensuring all code meets high-quality industry standards.
System Optimization: Refine deployment pipelines (CI/CD) and production release processes to improve delivery speed and reliability.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Partner with the product team to troubleshoot system bugs, maintain application health, and evolve technical design practices.
Qualifications
Education: University degree or specialized certificate in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software development with a proven track record in "full-stack" environments (both client-side and server-side).
Backend Expertise: Mastery of Python and Django; experience with .NET/C# is a significant asset.
Frontend Skills: Strong proficiency in modern web technologies including React, Angular, or Vue.js, alongside TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
DevOps & Infrastructure: Solid experience with Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Data & Cloud: Experience with AWS/Azure, relational databases (PostgreSQL), and NoSQL environments (MongoDB).
API & Patterns: Familiarity with RESTful services and GraphQL. Knowledge of cloud design patterns (CQRS, Saga, Pub/Sub) and test automation (Cypress, xUnit) is highly preferred.
Methodology: Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum framework.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
