Responsibilities
Migration Orchestration: Design the strategic roadmap for transitioning repositories and CI/CD pipelines to GitHub Enterprise, ensuring centralized management of GitHub Actions.
Platform Engineering: Develop self-service solutions that enable development, QA, and operations teams to operate with maximum autonomy and security.
Visionary Leadership: Act as a bridge between business needs and technical execution, translating high-level objectives into actionable Epics and Features.
Governance & Compliance: Define and enforce DevSecOps standards to ensure all software deliveries meet strict corporate security and quality benchmarks.
Architectural Stewardship: Present technological solutions at architecture boards, maintaining traceability for all decisions and aligning with enterprise-wide standards.
Strategic Advisory: Mentor multidisciplinary teams and external partners while staying ahead of industry trends in software engineering and cloud ecosystems.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: A minimum of 15 years in IT, with at least 10 years specifically in architectural roles within large-scale, complex organizations.
Technical Mastery: Advanced expertise in the GitHub Enterprise ecosystem (Actions, Security, Projects) and Azure DevOps Services.
DevSecOps & Cloud: Proven track record in optimizing delivery pipelines; proficiency with .NET, SonarCloud, and JFrog. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform is a significant asset.
Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiator and communicator with a high tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Methodologies: Practical experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe), LEAN, and ITIL environments.
Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within the financial or insurance sectors is highly desirable.
Our client operates in Canada.
