In this senior technical role, you will be responsible for reviewing software requirements, designing screens, business rules, and workflow changes, and executing complex software configuration and integration tasks. Leveraging your deep expertise in Gosu, Guidewire tools, and RESTful APIs, you will build, package, debug, and deploy scalable solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance platforms. Working within an Agile framework, you will also perform peer code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure strictly high coding standards across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Configuration, Integration & Development
Requirement Analysis & Screen Design: Efficiently review software requirements to design screens, business logic, rules, and workflow enhancements.
Guidewire Engineering: Write clean code, configure data models, package, and deploy Guidewire software utilizing Gosu, Guidewire tools, accelerators, batch processes, and predefined plugins.
API Integration: Design, code, and test RESTful Web APIs/JSON services to integrate PolicyCenter with external enterprise systems.
Legacy Code Analysis: Read code in complementary programming languages and reverse-engineer existing platform components where necessary.
Quality Assurance & Team Leadership
Testing & Debugging: Debug, unit test, and troubleshoot application code to ensure high quality and platform stability.
Code Reviews & Standards: Establish coding guidelines and perform thorough peer code reviews.
Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster platform development best practices.
Qualifications
Professional Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in Guidewire Application Development, including a minimum of 7+ years of dedicated Guidewire development experience.
PolicyCenter Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration and Integration.
Gosu & Tooling Mastery: Deep expertise in the Gosu programming language, Guidewire tools/accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and predefined plugins.
API Development: 7+ years of experience design and coding RESTful APIs.
Agile Tooling & SDLC: Proven experience in Agile software development using Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
Domain Knowledge: Functional domain knowledge in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance.
Mandatory Certification: Guidewire ACE Certification is required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Hands-on coding experience in additional programming languages such as Java or Python.
Experience with relational databases and SQL (MS SQL Server).
Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications.
Solid understanding of design thinking principles and customer-centric development methodologies.
