Responsibilities
- Design and spearhead impactful prevention strategies, tailored to the unique realities of each plant.
- Ensure impeccable regulatory compliance and orchestrate the deployment of OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) policies, in perfect alignment with CNESST (Quebec's workplace safety board) requirements, WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System), and industry standards.
- Conduct proactive OHS audits and diagnostics to identify risks, recommend effective corrective solutions, and ensure rigorous follow-up.
- Act as a strategic partner to plant managers, equipping them for optimal incident management, sharp root cause analysis, and the implementation of sustainable solutions.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators to quantify the impact of actions undertaken and drive a dynamic of continuous improvement.
- Lead engaging training and awareness programs aimed at significantly boosting team skills and reinforcing their commitment to a health and safety culture.
- Embody a high-value field presence, fostering constructive exchanges with workers and coaching managers towards excellence in best practices.
- Position yourself as the go-to technical and strategic expert in health and safety, for both management and all production sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environment, or any other related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in health and safety within an industrial environment.
- Excellent command of OHS laws, standards, and regulations.
- Bilingualism in English and French because you will need to interact with French-speaking colleagues.
