Responsibilities
As an Inside Sales Representative in Dorval, your daily tasks, essential to sales success, will include:
* Preparing and managing detailed and complex submissions for PVF products (pipes, valves, fittings), ensuring the accuracy of prices and technical specifications.
* Responding to technical and commercial inquiries from clients via phone and email, acting as the first specialized point of contact for technical sales.
* Processing customer orders from A to Z in the ERP/CRM system, including inventory verification, delivery time confirmation, and logistics follow-up.
* Providing proactive technical support to clients to help them select the appropriate products for their specific industrial applications.
* Maintaining and developing solid trust-based relationships with existing customers, contributing to retention and the increase of recurring sales.
* Collaborating closely with Outside Sales Representatives to support territory strategies and achieve overall sales objectives.
* Managing complaints and returns professionally and efficiently, ensuring continuous customer satisfaction.
* Updating and organizing product documentation and customer files, ensuring an accurate database for the Sales team.
Qualifications
The required skills to excel in this Inside Sales Representative position in industrial distribution include:
* A minimum of 3 to 5 years of significant experience in an inside sales or technical sales support role in the industrial or technical distribution sector (PVF, equipment, HVAC).
* Working knowledge of ERP/CRM systems and proficiency in office tools (Office suite, especially Excel).
* Excellent bilingual communication skills (English/French) and the ability to quickly build rapport and trust.
* A strong results orientation and demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactivity and autonomy to take ownership of files and see them through to completion without constant supervision.
* Highly developed team spirit and a willingness to collaborate closely with support, logistics, and warehouse colleagues.
* College (DEC) or university diploma in a relevant field (e.g., administration, mechanical or industrial engineering, or related field).
* Work experience demonstrating job stability is strongly preferred (commitment of 3 years or more with previous employers).
* Solid understanding or knowledge of industrial piping, valve, and fitting products (PVF knowledge is a major asset).
