Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Head of Insurance, Insurable Risk Management, and Prevention, the incumbent will respond to daily inquiries regarding civil liability, professional liability, and directors' and officers' liability insurance.
They will also be responsible for implementing and monitoring insurance coverage for our client's facilities related to aeronautics and pollution. They will participate in the implementation, management, and improvement of insurance coverage for specific sectors and client groups.
• Analyze the needs of facilities and collaborate on the implementation of civil liability, professional liability, and directors' and officers' liability insurance coverage;
• Support and answer facility inquiries regarding the scope and application of civil liability, professional liability, and directors' and officers' liability insurance coverage;
• Analyze needs and collaborate in the implementation of insurance coverage for midwives' activities;
• Analyze the needs of institutions, implement aviation insurance coverage, and issue policies;
• Analyze the needs of institutions, implement insurance coverage for users of services programs for individuals with physical disabilities (PD), intellectual disabilities (ID), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and issue policies;
• Monitor insurance coverage available on the market;
• Collaborate on the renewal of insurance coverage;
• Inform institutions of their duties and obligations regarding insurance and risk management;
• Participate in drafting communications and updating documentation for insured individuals;
• Perform any other related tasks as requested by their immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
• University degree in law or a related field;
• College diploma (DEC) in Insurance and Financial Services Consulting or equivalent, and ten (10) years of experience as a risk manager for large companies or as a broker managing major accounts with complex liability insurance issues;
• Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and/or Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) of Canada, and/or Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation, an asset.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Superior verbal and written communication skills in French and English;
• Creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills;
• Values respect, collaboration, and teamwork;
• Sense of responsibility, rigor, autonomy, and professionalism;
• Influencing and negotiation skills;
• Judgment and discernment.
