We are seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Applications Architect to support the design, integrity, and alignment of enterprise-level business applications. In this role, you will lead the creation of critical architecture artifacts, perform advanced application design, and ensure that all development adheres to established enterprise standards. Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite, 7.25 hours per day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Contract Duration: Initial contract through April 5, 2027, with a potential 6-month operational extension available until October 5, 2027.

Responsibilities
Architecture Artifact Development: Author and maintain comprehensive enterprise architecture documents, including Business Architecture, Solutions Architecture, Solution Requirements, and Information Architecture Documents.
Solution Modeling & Data Design: Produce visual depictions of use cases, process flows, logical/physical data models, data dictionaries, and CRUD matrices to ensure end-to-end requirement traceability.
Stakeholder Facilitation & JAD: Use technical solution design and prototyping tools to lead JAD sessions, aligning technical designs with stakeholder and program area expectations.
Security & Quality Compliance: Lead cloud security assessments, establish security risk mitigation plans, review privacy documentation, and build traceability matrices to address compliance considerations.
Integration & Onboarding Support: Document standardized communication protocols and interfaces for external partners, and develop comprehensive systems onboarding documentation.
Testing & Data Readiness: Review all test scenarios to guarantee requirements are met, assist with system/UI modifications, create metadata/test data packages, and support testing teams through functional and UAT phases.
Qualifications
Must-Haves & Mandatory Requirements:
10+ years of demonstrated experience leading information technology architecture within large enterprise environments.
Proven experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications.
Mastery of enterprise-level Architecture Standards and artifacts (e.g., Business Architecture Document, Solutions Architecture Document, Solution Requirements Document, and Information Architecture Document).
Hands-on experience using technical solution design and prototyping tools to assist in JAD and design sessions with stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Strong background leading project gating and Architecture Review Board (ARB) review activities to secure project stage approvals.
Exceptional facilitation, presentation, problem-solving, and negotiation skills alongside a proven track record of meeting strict deadlines.
Preferred & Desired Skills:
Extensive experience architecting solutions for large-scale, complex, multi-year I&IT projects that impact external stakeholders.
Deep knowledge of advanced solution design combined with business analysis experience within a multi-domain IT landscape (Business, Technology, Application, and Security).
Strong capability in metadata management and preparing data implementation packages for Database Administrators.
