Responsibilities
Actively contribute to defining the organization’s technology vision and effectively communicate it to stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment between solutions and strategic business objectives.

Participate in the selection of appropriate products, technologies, and software standards to support current and future needs.

Facilitate the research, evaluation, and recommendation of innovative software and technology solutions.

Help define metrics to measure the business value of enterprise technologies.

Design and document robust application architectures tailored to business requirements.

Contribute to the development of architecture standards and reference models in partnership with enterprise architects.

Serve as a technical mentor to development teams, promoting the adoption of best practices.

Take part in development efforts supporting key strategic projects.

Manage and evolve the architecture across multiple concurrent projects within a complex portfolio.

Monitor the current state of the solution portfolio and support continuous improvement efforts.

Provide consulting support for application and infrastructure development projects.

Thoroughly document all architecture design and analysis work.

Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps and application portfolio strategies.

Ensure proposed solutions are consistent, viable, and aligned with organizational goals.




Qualifications
University degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a combination of relevant education and equivalent experience.

Proven expertise in software architecture, including microservices, monolithic services, service-oriented architecture (SOA), event-driven architecture, distributed systems, application architecture, and data modeling.

Strong command of key technologies and concepts such as Java, Angular, APIs, AWS, and cloud environments.

Demonstrated experience in modeling languages, analysis methods, and the design of complex architecture solutions.

Solid knowledge of security best practices and application-level cybersecurity principles.

Quick to understand new technologies and assess their capabilities and business value.

Strategic thinker with the ability to assess both short-term and long-term technological implications.

Strong technical background across platforms, programming languages, protocols, frameworks, and open-source tools.

Team-oriented mindset with a passion for collaboration, technical mentoring, and inspiring others.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Motivated by challenge, results, and driving digital transformation.

Well-organized, proactive, and capable of catalyzing change in a fast-evolving tech environment.

Understanding of, or willingness to learn, the various lines of business within the organization.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for regular collaboration with colleagues across the country.

Summary
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an IT Architect for a position with 2 days per week in the office in Montreal or Saint-Hyacinthe. This role requires proficiency in both French and English. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the definition of solutions within the company, participating in the selection of products and technologies, and contributing to the development of standards and models with architects. You will participate in development efforts, facilitate the research and evaluation of software technologies, and help define parameters to measure the value of enterprise technology. You will work closely with application architects to manage and design the architecture of various projects.
