Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and executive reports.
Analyze, profile, clean, and transform multi-source data to create scalable, reusable reporting datasets.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and data models to support analytics requirements.
Utilize Python scripts to automate data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and reporting workflows.
Partner with cross-functional business stakeholders to elicit, document, and translate reporting requirements into technical solutions.
Modernize and consolidate legacy manual reporting processes through process automation and self-service analytics capabilities.
Perform data quality assessments, investigate data anomalies, and enforce data governance baselines.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Prepare executive-ready presentation packages communicating analytical findings, trends, and operational insights to internal partners.
Provide continuous support, performance tuning, and issue resolution for live production dashboards and data products.
Qualifications
Core Technical & Analytics Requirements
Education: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. (Master's degree or MBA is considered an asset).
BI & Dashboarding Expertise: 3+ years of advanced experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX measures, Power Query, report design, and performance optimization.
Data Transformation & Scripting: 3+ years of experience with data transformation techniques and writing automation/analytics scripts in Python.
Database & Querying Skills: 3+ years of strong SQL experience writing complex queries and working with large relational datasets.
Analytics Experience: 5 to 7 years of overall professional experience, with at least 3 to 4 years focused on data analytics, business intelligence, or consulting.
Preferred Assets
Domain Exposure: Experience within Financial Risk Management, Enterprise Risk, Credit Risk, Banking, or Regulatory Reporting domains.
Cloud & Advanced Data Tools: Exposure to Microsoft Azure data services (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
Executive Presentation Skills: Demonstrated ability to build executive-level presentation packages and engage directly with stakeholders.
Soft Skills & Professional Attributes
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities to convey complex analytical findings clearly.
