Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include:
Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of contract JDE developers today, with responsibility
for building out an in-house team as the function grows, including work assignment and
performance management.
Balancing hands-on development with oversight — reviewing code, designs, and technical
documentation produced by your team to ensure quality and consistency.
Developing and maintaining functional and technical documentation (requirements, feasibility
studies, designs, and specifications).
Implementing and supporting systems that meet organizational and departmental needs.
Translating business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions, personally
and through your team.
Analyzing and coding custom reports, UBEs, and programs to extend JDE functionality.
Prioritizing and coordinating your team's project workload and development schedules in
alignment with business priorities.
Logging and managing escalations through the Oracle JDE Help Desk as needed.
Assisting in the integration of JDE with both packaged and custom applications.
Managing the vendor relationship responsible for CNC-related activity, ensuring deliverables,
service levels, and support needs are met.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (2–3 year
post-secondary program minimum).
15+ years of experience working as a JD Edwards Developer (EnterpriseOne 9.1 or newer).
3+ years of experience managing or leading a team of developers, including work assignment,
mentoring, and performance management.
Hands-on experience with JDE Orchestrator Studio, BSSV, and related integration tools.
Expertise in SQL/SEQUEL for complex query development, data analysis, and issue resolution.
Strong knowledge of JDE Financials (GL/AP/AR) and Distribution (Sales and Purchasing)
modules.
In-depth understanding of JDE table structures and data interrelationships.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices in change
management.
Excellent communication skills — able to convey technical information clearly to both business
and IT stakeholders.
Experience managing vendor relationships, including contract oversight, service-level
agreements, and vendor performance.
Creative, analytical, and self-motivated, with a positive attitude toward continuous learning and
improvement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to explain complex ideas in simple, user-friendly language
Customer service-oriented mindset
