We are looking for a junior motor technician for our warehouse in Dorval. This is a great job for a company in the automation industry. As a technician, you will have your own workstation where baskets of motor components slide your way to be serviced. The technician uses blueprints and repair plans as instructions, and both power and manual tools to repair the motor component together. This is a permanent job opportunity, with benefits, a salary range of 20$-21$ an hour based on experience.

Responsibilities
- The technician is required to dismantle motors, gearboxes, variable-speed units, competing units and check to see where damage has occurred
- Examine work order and prioritize accordingly based on the level of urgency
- Unit assembly (motors, gearboxes, variable speed drives, etc.)
- The technician selects the components required to modify the unit, e.g. change of tension, ratio, mounting or shaft, etc.
- Visit customers to carry out predictive maintenance (oil changes, brake servicing, minor repairs, etc.)
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently in a variety of circumstances
- Ability to work flexible hours (outside normal working hours)
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driving license
- Good driving record
- Product knowledge - mechanical / electrical
- Availability to attend training courses worldwide
- Have or be willing to obtain the following training: first aid, lockout safety, WHMIS, forklift, skyjack, customer-specific safety training and basic training skills.
