Responsibilities
Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and implement clean front-end interface code alongside performant server-side configurations.
Component Translation: Translate wireframes, storyboards, and technical systems specifications into structured, maintainable web components.
API Development: Construct, integrate, and execute automated unit tests for lightweight, secure RESTful API services.
User Interface Design: Build highly responsive, cross-browser compatible web layouts using modern CSS frameworks and basic digital artwork tools.
Testing & Maintenance: Maintain source code integrity, write detailed programming specifications, and execute rigorous unit and integration tests.
Technical Support: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve code defects or configuration bottlenecks arising during implementations, system conversions, or live deployment phases.
Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, review technical designs during team walkthroughs, and collaborate with Business Analysts and UX/UI Designers throughout the SDLC.
System Documentation: Author clear system code commentary, deployment instructions, and post-implementation technical references.
Qualifications
Core JavaScript Ecosystem: Practical experience developing applications using React framework and TypeScript.
Backend & Serverless Stacks: Working knowledge of server-side runtimes and rendering frameworks, specifically Node.js and Next.js.
Modern Architectures: Foundational structural knowledge of Jamstack Architecture (JavaScript, APIs, and Markup).
API Foundations: Proven academic or project experience building, documenting, and testing RESTful APIs.
Methodologies: Solid exposure to working within Agile/Scrum delivery models or Rapid Application Development (RAD) environments.
Database & Query Basics: Familiarity with relational database technologies and writing fundamental queries to check data states.
AODA Compliance: Basic awareness or exposure to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) is considered a strong asset.
