Responsibilities
-Assistance administrative aux avocats
-Effectuer la révision, la mise en forme ou la modification de divers documents juridiques (correspondence, contrats, procédures, etc.);
-Préparer les cartables de clôture, etc.;
-Ouvrir et fermer des dossiers;
-Préparer les documents relatifs à la facturation, à l’entrée de temps et faire les suivis des recevables.
-Rédiger des documents, lettres, courriels et notes destinés aux clients ou aux avocat·es;
-Tenir l’agenda des avocat·es, incluant la coordination des rendez-vous;
-Effectuer l’ouverture, le classement papier et électronique, le suivi et l’organisation des dossiers;
-Organiser et coordonner les rencontres entre les avocat·es et les clients;
-Effectuer le suivi des échéances et des dossiers;
-Préparer les cahiers de procédures, de pièces, d’autorités;
-Effectuer l’entrée de données de temps des avocats ainsi que la facturation.
Qualifications
-2 years minimum experience as a legal assistant;
-Bilingualism in English/French, both spoken and written;
-Excellent grammar;
-Proficiency in Word (layout, styles, etc.);
-Commitment to internal and external clients;
-Strong ability to adapt;
-Autonomy and speed of execution;
-Team spirit and initiative.
-Communicate easily with clients and have great attention to detail;
-Follow instructions with little supervision and have a sense of initiative.
Our Client operates across Canada, and globally/internationally in the United States and other countries. This company takes all reasonable means to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires this where it is necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to fulfil these job duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (oral and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to:
-communicate with English-speaking clients/partners/employees located outside Quebec on a regular basis
-work on client projects, products or deliverables that are required to be delivered to clients in English
