In this role, you will partner closely with global translation vendors, internal regional localization teams, and freelance linguists to deliver high-quality, culturally relevant translations. Beyond day-to-day project coordination, you will play an important part in documenting localization workflows and identifying opportunities for efficiency and scalability as global content needs continue to expand.
Duration: 12-Month Contract (With a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent, full-time position)
Location: Hybrid (Based out of the Vancouver, BC corporate headquarters)

Responsibilities
Localization & Translation Coordination
Request Lifecycle Management: Intake, track, and manage complex translation requests from inception to deployment across multiple corporate departments simultaneously.
Content Preparation: Review, organize, and validate source copy and files to ensure technical readiness before handoff to linguistic pipelines.
Timeline Governance: Manage project dependencies, milestones, and release windows to seamlessly support global product and marketing launches across multiple time zones.
External Partner & Vendor Collaboration
Vendor Operations: Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external localization vendors and translation agencies.
Financial & Scope Management: Request quotes, submit formal translation packages, monitor vendor progress, and actively clarify scope adjustments or operational risks.
Quality Gatekeeping: Review incoming localized deliverables for formatting completeness, structural integrity, and strict alignment with project requirements.
Process Optimization & Documentation
Workflow Architecture: Document standardized localization workflows, guidelines, and cross-functional handoff protocols.
Artifact Upkeep: Maintain localization tracking dashboards, central translation glossaries, and regional reference materials.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and propose operational updates to improve system efficiency, tool scalability, and linguistic consistency across the global brand ecosystem.
Qualifications
Experience: 2 to 4 years of progressive professional experience in localization coordination, translation project coordination, or a closely related role.
Multilingual Asset Management: Proven experience managing international, multi-market content pipelines and localized digital assets.
File Format Versatility: Demonstrated experience localizing diverse file formats, including video sub-titling/localization, e-learning courses, and Adobe InDesign files.
Modern Translation Paradigms: Functional familiarity or exposure to AI translation workflows and machine translation post-editing concepts.
Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, strong time-management capabilities, and clear, confident written and verbal communication skills when aligning with cross-functional business partners.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Assets
Practical familiarity working within enterprise Translation Management Systems (TMS) or automated localization platforms.
Prior experience supporting localization for product packaging, e-commerce portals, or heavily regulated/compliance-driven corporate content.
Foundational experience in data analytics, reporting dashboards, or operational process engineering.
Professional proficiency in Spanish (Mexico) is considered a strong strategic asset.
