Reporting directly to the Director of Contract Logistics & Transportation, you will act as a key driver for business expansion in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)—focusing on Brampton and Mississauga—while supporting account growth nationally. You will balance "hunter" and "farmer" responsibilities (approx. 25% new business acquisition, 75% account cultivation) to maximize ROI across state-of-the-art warehousing facilities.

Responsibilities
Business Development: Canvas the GTA market to identify, prospect, and secure new warehousing clients, targeting mid-to-large-scale accounts ($100k+ annual account value).
Account Management: Cultivate and expand relationships within an assigned customer portfolio, identifying upsell and cross-selling opportunities across ocean, air, overland freight, and customs brokerage.
Sales Process Ownership: Lead the preparation, presentation, and negotiation of RFIs, RFQs, bids, and rate quotes.
Client Engagement: Maintain active field engagement with a target of at least 2 key client meetings per day (in-person within a 2-hour drive radius, or virtual based on client preference).
Pipeline Management: Document all sales activities, appointments, quotes, and pipeline progress accurately within the internal CRM system.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with operations, implementation, and finance teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and problem resolution.
Occasional Travel: Visit key branch locations across Canada (such as Surrey, BC) 2 to 4 times per year for site tours and client reviews.
Qualifications
Industry Experience: Minimum 3+ years of field sales or account management experience within the warehousing, contract logistics, or international freight forwarding industry (required).
Warehousing Expertise: Strong understanding of warehouse solutions, storage, inbound/outbound operations, transloading, and supply chain management.
Track Record: Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles (ranging from a few months to a year+) and achieve consistent revenue growth.
Role Mindset: Comfortable balancing structured account management with proactive outreach ("farmer" + "hunter" skill set).
Communication & Presentation: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with comfortable ease in negotiating at executive levels.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM platforms.
Licensing: Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle (covered via a $750/month car allowance).
