Responsibilities
• Coordinate, dispatch, and track inbound and outbound freight across North American transportation networks within the manufacturing & logistics domain.
• Monitor and maintain accurate SKU inventory levels at frozen warehouse facilities, conducting regular stock counts and data reconciliation.
• Schedule and confirm pickup and delivery appointments with receiving departments, warehouse managers, and final-mile carriers.
• Evaluate shipping specifications to recommend and execute LTL or Full Truckload (FTL) transit routes efficiently.
• Oversee temperature-controlled freight requirements to ensure strict product safety and quality compliance throughout transit.
• Facilitate ground transportation arrangements for international export shipments while ensuring accurate documentation and tracking.
• Utilize Teds Transportation software, WMS platforms, and Excel to extract inventory reports and share real-time updates with clients.
• Maintain consistent communication with internal teams, drivers, and external partners using MS Teams, email, and phone.
• Identify potential delivery delays or inventory discrepancies proactively and implement effective shipment recovery plans.
• Foster strong relationships with preferred transport carriers to maintain high service levels and cost-effective freight movement.
Qualifications
• 1 to 3 years of experience in transportation coordination, 3PL logistics, or inventory management.
• Hands-on experience using TMS software, WMS platforms, and inventory reporting tools.
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of 3PL logistics operations, supply chain workflows, LTL/FTL routing, and inventory control.
• Outstanding problem-solving capabilities to handle shipment recoveries, scheduling changes, and temperature monitoring.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional client interaction and carrier coordination.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Exceptional team-oriented mindset, demonstrating a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to shared goals.
• High attention to detail when verifying order counts, tracking status updates, and logging system entries.
