Responsibilities
- Coordinate full import processes, liaising with international freight forwarders, foreign customs brokers, and bonded warehouses.
- Prepare export documentation and Canadian Export Declarations (CERS) for spare parts and capital equipment.
- Handle specialized freight coordination, including oversize loads, heavy haul, flatbeds, step decks, and escort permits.
- Manage client-specific shipping paperwork for Latin American customers.
- Prepare domestic and international shipping quotes and track shipments to final site arrival.
- Coordinate annual equipment recertifications across both facilities.
- Conduct monthly building inspections and maintain annual facility upkeep reports.
- Manage inventory and order supplies for office, janitorial, and shipping departments.
- Assist with document translation, employee verification letters, and company event planning.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in import/export documentation, customs compliance, and freight coordination within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required for daily interactions with Latin American clients and partners.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian customs procedures, HS classification codes and export declarations.
- Proven track record with oversize loads, specialized trailers, project cargo, and logistics tracking.
- Hands-on experience working within ERP software environments.
- Proficiency with CERS (Canadian Export Reporting System) and trade documentation platforms.
- CIFFA, CCS (Certified Customs Specialist), or CTCS designations are highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Organizational and strong multi-tasking skills.
